Where's CARL?!!!!!!
I think that quite a few Walking Dead fans could have used the words "Where's Carl" to play one heck of a drinking game during most of season 1 and 2. Whether it was while Lori was running off with Shane, searching for supplies, or just simply popping out to wash some clothes we heard this phrase uttered time and time again. I'm pretty sure that if there was a zombie apocolypse my kids would just have to deal with the fact that they would be super glued to my body 24/7 because they wouldn't be going so much as to the bathroom without me stuck to their side. I understand at some point one would want their kids to obtain some sort of normalcy and independance growing up in that awful world, but in my opinion, the stakes were far to high for that. Survive first and galavant second, I always say. I understand completely why the writers would go in a more "realistic" direction in that boys will be boys, and I'm guessing if Carl would have been a little more well attended to he wouldn't have turned into the pint size zombie killing machine we see today. Bravo Walking Dead writers, you never fail to entertain me. I remain constantly addicted, and am patiently awaiting February for some more "where's Carl" moments;)!!

I too would think that my child would be connected at the hip to me, but I can see why the writer's did Carl's character this way. He is hardcore in the 3rd season that is for sure. Did you catch him telling Rick (dad) that he didn't think he needed to be the leader anymore? I caught that on the preview after the mid-season finale. I'm guessing he thinks he needs to be the leader, lol? Idk, but he is a pretty tough little dude.
ReplyDeleteI saw that on the preview. Carl is a tough lil guy, but I don't think leadership material quite yet, lol. Probably one day soon though, say around season 6-7, haha.
